Now I am home for a while I am getting practical getting the house sorted. So today I am involved with decorators , plumbers and carpet people but social meetings interspersed . Anna came over to catch up but before we did that she insisted on massaging my cold and stiff feet.
I was totally in the moment I felt the warmth of the sun , the chilly breeze nudging the wind chimes, the buzz of the bumble bees flying over my head, the airplanes travelling across the sky bringing holidaymakers home. The moment stopped with a rainfall !
After a feed I then went to an old colleague who has moved to her first house. She showed me her wonderful terraced 1900 ‘s house it felt full of history. I reckon we should write a book to stay with the house , a chronicle of everyone who lives there. Someone did that for me once and I had all these photographs from the 1920 when the house was built, I left it with the new owners and added some photographs and a summery of what we did to the house.. I hope it continues …
I returned to my house and the decorator had finished my hall which is looking good ‘ borrowed blue’ on the walls. Another feed and then picked up Joe and a friend as we drove over to my Buddhist meeting . I was tired after a busy day with no rest, I am understanding that I now need to rest in the day if I am going to function beyond 5 pm. I came away with a sense of belonging to a community and the wisdom of knowing that really loving kindness is the most important attribute. As I drove everyone home. I realised that acts of kindness should not be just ‘acts’ of kindness but they should come from the heart. I think that giving to others is one if my pleasures in life , I don’t mean buying stuff but just looking after people , making them happy , I get so much pleasure from this. I think most people get that pleasure and now I have more time I can get this pleasure more , maybe people should make more time for others so they can have the pleasure I have. It is so wonderful to see appreciation on my people’s faces. So I offer you today a wonderful flock of birds to admire ….
